Responsibilities
- Represent clients in court or before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend or prosecute in civil litigation.
- Conduct extensive legal research to support cases, draft legal documents, and develop litigation strategies.
- Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations, helping them navigate through complex commercial disputes.
- Prepare and draft legal documents such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
- Negotiate settlements in civil litigation cases, mediating between parties to resolve disputes.
- Manage all phases of the litigation process from investigation, pleadings, and discovery to pre-trial, trial, settlement, and appeal.
- Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing excellent customer service and legal advice.
- Keep up-to-date with changes in law and new legal precedents that could impact ongoing cases.
- Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
- Must be a member in good standing with the local State Bar.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a practicing Litigation Attorney.
- Proven track record of success in commercial litigation.
- Exceptional ability in legal research, legal writing, and mediation.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex disputes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to advise and guide clients effectively.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a high-volume caseload while meeting deadlines.
- High level of professionalism and adherence to legal ethical standards.
- Proficiency in legal software and technology.
