POSITION DUTIES: This is a clerical position for the 20th Judicial District Court Services Office. This work involves the independent completion of moderately complex and varied clerical duties, which require considerable judgment, based on knowledge gained through experience. The work consists of word processing of correspondence, court reports, and various other forms. Additional duties include receptionist responsibilities, answering multiple telephone lines, filing, copying, background research, computer entry/retrieval, vouchering bills, and creating new computer databases and formats when required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Applicants must be a high school graduate and have one year of secretarial experience with daily computer usage.
KNOWLEDGE, ABILITY, AND SKILLS: Good verbal and written communication skills and organizational/multitasking abilities. Familiarity with court procedure, basic accounting skills, and Microsoft Office programs.
