What are the responsibilities and job description for the PRESCHOOL- ASSISTANT TEACHER position at Kenosha YMCA?
The Early Childhood Assistant Teacher shall work cooperatively with staff in the implementation, supervision, evaluation, and participation of daily activities to provide enjoyment and develop new skills and interests in the children ages 2-5 years old.
- Must be 18 years old but can be 17 with DPI course
- Ability to provide proof of current CPR and First Aid Certification within 6 months of hire
- Must meet Wisconsin state licensing qualification as Assistant Teacher as minimum certification
- Experience working with children
- Willingness to learn state licensing childcare regulations and procedures for Group Day Care Centers.
- Ability to work cooperatively with youth, parents, staff, and community organizations
- Joy and satisfaction in working with children
- Ability to work with general supervision.
- Maintain a valid drivers license
- Background check cannot contain offenses restricted by state law
