Accounting Specialist
LHH is assisting with a search for an Accounting Specialist for a client in Kansas City, MO. In this role you would work on-site and be responsible for payroll processing, accounts payable and more. This is a contract-to-hire role working on-site with pay starting at $50k annually and going up based on experience. The ideal candidate will have general accounting experience including payroll, accounts payable and account reconciliation experience. Read below for additional details!
Key Responsibilities:
- Processes payroll and expense reports for employees
- Invoices and handles accounts receivables for multiple companies
- Prepares journal entries and reconciles accounts
- Answers questions and resolves payroll issues
- Files payroll-associated benefit reports
- Updates payroll information for promotions and transfers
- Assists with payroll and expense report procedures
- Accounts payable (AP) - process payments and financial transactions to suppliers.
- Work with finance officers and suppliers to manage stock, financial records, and accounts
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field is a plus.
- 2 years of experience in payroll, accounts payable and general ledger/journal entry posting
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
