About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchasing Assistant to join our team in Riverside. This role supports the purchasing department in sourcing, ordering, and tracking materials and supplies to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the procurement of goods and services in accordance with company policies.
- Maintain accurate purchase records and update internal databases.
- Communicate with vendors to confirm pricing, availability, and delivery schedules.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Resolve order issues such as delays, shortages, or pricing discrepancies.
- Support inventory management and stock level monitoring.
- Collaborate with internal departments to understand purchasing needs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1–2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or administrative support.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks).
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
