Position Overview:
The Staff Accountant will support the Finance department in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting reporting cycles, and improving internal processes. This role will have visibility across the organization and play a critical part in ensuring day-to-day accounting accuracy, compliance, and timely financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
- Perform general ledger account reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
- Support monthly close processes, including preparation of journal entries
- Process accounts payable and receivable, ensuring accurate coding and timely handling
- Maintain fixed asset schedules and calculate depreciation
- Prepare audit schedules and support external auditors as needed
- Collaborate across departments to gather financial data and support decision-making
- Assist in developing and improving internal processes and accounting documentation
- Monitor compliance with accounting standards and company policies
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 0–3 years of relevant accounting experience (internships and early-career candidates encouraged to apply)
- Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with modern accounting systems is a plus
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Experience in SaaS, tech, or professional services environments is a plus
