As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our industrial operations. Your expertise in electrical systems, coupled with strong troubleshooting skills, will be essential in maintaining equipment and minimizing downtime.
Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning electrical systems, apparatus, and components, utilizing test equipment and personal expertise to identify root causes.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on shop machinery, mobile equipment, HVAC systems, and cranes to ensure optimal performance.
- Interpret electrical schematics and provide technical support to maintenance and production teams as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, repairs, and materials used, leveraging computer systems for documentation and time tracking.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to prevent workplace injuries.
- Troubleshoot AC/DC motor controls and high voltage systems, adhering to site voltage maximums and safety standards.
- Install, test, and maintain various manufacturing equipment, ensuring proper functionality and adherence to safety guidelines.
Required Skills
- Demonstrated experience and proficiency in electrical principles, concepts, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency in electrical controls maintenance and repair.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work at heights for extended periods.
- Experience with AC/DC troubleshooting.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with melting, casting, and rolling processes and related equipment.
- Experience with MRO and SAP systems.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70E requirements.
- Experience with Allen Bradley and/or other PLC troubleshooting.
- Minimum 3 years of industrial maintenance experience.
