About the Role

As a Specialty Services Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of critical healthcare equipment. You will be responsible for performing specialized cleaning and maintenance procedures on large hospital sterilizers, contributing to a safe and efficient healthcare environment. Your expertise in mechanical systems and customer communication will be essential to your success.

Responsibilities

• Ensure customer satisfaction by serving as the primary point of contact, proactively addressing concerns and providing timely solutions.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding preventative cleaning needs, scheduling, and equipment details, fostering strong relationships.
• Execute sterilizer cleaning procedures, including chemical handling, pressure maintenance, and equipment repair, adhering to strict safety protocols.
• Collaborate with the scheduling team, supervisor, and customer to optimize service routes and maintain service standards.
• Diagnose equipment issues and escalate complex problems to the appropriate contact for resolution.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting using company-provided technology.
• Maintain company vehicle, equipment, and parts inventory, ensuring safe and effective operation.

Qualifications

Required Skills

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a technical or service-related field (e.g., sterile processing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, construction, automotive).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proficiency in basic computer skills and smartphone usage.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer communication skills.

Preferred Skills

• Associate’s degree, related certifications, or military experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including overtime and weekends, with frequent travel.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
