A global leader in pharmaceutical innovation is seeking a highly driven Automation Engineer to join its state-of-the-art, high-volume manufacturing facility based in Lebanon, Indiana.
As part of a cross-functional, site-based team, the successful candidate will play a critical role in implementing and sustaining automation systems supporting utilities operations at a newly constructed advanced manufacturing site.
This is a unique opportunity to be part of a greenfield build that is transforming how therapies are delivered globally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead automation support for site utilities systems including chilled water, clean steam, air handling, and water purification.
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and improve automation platforms such as DeltaV, Siemens, Allen Bradley, and associated instrumentation.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Facilities teams to deliver compliant and reliable automation solutions.
- Support qualification, validation, and change control processes aligned with GMP and regulatory requirements.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation upgrades, alarm rationalization, and system performance analysis.
Ideal Background:
- Degree in Engineering, Automation, Electrical/Mechanical/Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong experience in utilities automation within GMP or FDA-regulated environments.
- Hands-on experience with PLC/SCADA/DCS systems (e.g., DeltaV, Siemens, Rockwell).
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
