Midland Care is currently hiring a compassionate and organized Administrative Support Specialist to join our Center for Hope & Healing. This vital team member provides essential clerical and administrative support to our Grief and Loss Services, helping ensure smooth day-to-day operations and warm, welcoming experiences for our clients and volunteers.
Employment Type: Full Time | Monday - Friday, 8a-5p
Pay Rate: $14.50 / hour (salary is based on requirements and experience in the role)
Location: Topeka, KS
The Administrative Support Specialist serves as a key point of contact for clients, families, volunteers, and community members. In this role, you’ll manage reception duties, support event and project coordination, generate reports, and help maintain a comforting environment within the Center for Hope & Healing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist clients, guests, and volunteers with professionalism and empathy
- Provide clerical support to the Grief and Loss Services team, including scheduling, documentation, and report generation
- Assist with preparation and coordination of events, workshops, and special project
- Maintain confidentiality and uphold the values of Midland Care in all interactions

Qualifications

- Prior experience in an administrative or front desk/reception role, preferably in a healthcare or nonprofit setting

- Ability to work with individuals and families experiencing grief and loss with sensitivity and respect
