Description
The Snowmaking Manager makes snow overnight to supplement natural snowfall at Willamette Pass Ski Resort. If your passion is creating excellent winter sports conditions for our guests and providing the environment to Give People the Freedom to Ski, apply now!
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate and facilitate the snowmaking plan and maintenance of the snowmaking system. Willamette Pass Resort operates a mix of TechonoAlpin TR10 and SMI fan guns. This can include troubleshooting and maintaining snowmaking controls, snowmaking infrastructure, including electrical, guns, pipeline and components.

Facilitate the relocation of snowmaking guns and hoses to various areas around the mountain as directed.

Operate high-voltage equipment and high pressure air and water system utilizing appropriate safety precautions.

Train snowmakers on snowmaking procedures and safety aspects, and supervise and monitor the performance of the snowmaking team.

Inspect equipment function, track hours & warranty information.

Consistently collaborate with all mountain operations departments to contribute to mountain-wide communication and safety.

Ensure compliance with OSHA and other laws governing personnel environment and equipment safety for the purpose of ensuring safety in the workplace.
Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of temperature fluctuations, weather, and other atmospheric conditions’ affect on snowmaking, and the ability to adjust quickly to those changing environments.

Knowledge of ATASS preferred.

Ability to troubleshoot snowmaking equipment malfunctions.

Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with guests and co-workers.

Ability to perform in inclement weather conditions and terrain for sustained periods.

Able to work a flexible schedule, any hours of the day, any days of the week as season needs dictate.

Ability to grow the snowmaking team.
