Movement Search & Delivery www.movementsearch.com is working with a growing aerospace supplier with a recently opened Program Manager. This role will be focused on developing stage-gate processes for manufacturing based on customer requirements. This is a nimble organization, not one filled with top line bureaucracy.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve a comprehensive, phase-gated NPI process addressing the full program lifecycle from customer award through production readiness.
- Establish and enforce world-class change-management protocols to ensure ongoing alignment between the company and its customers regarding scope, schedule, cost, and technical expectations.
- Champion continuous improvement in program execution, internal processes, and program-management tools to support operational excellence.
- Lead and manage the most sensitive and strategic customer-funded R&D and NPI programs, with the objective of optimizing product design, reducing execution risk, improving outcomes, and ensuring manufacturability at scale.
- Ensure contractual requirements, scope, changes, and deliverables are fully understood, flowed down into the organization, appropriately resourced, and executed.
- Track program performance, forecasts, cost-to-complete, and overall financial health; escalate variances and risks as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Operations Management
- Minimum of 3 years of direct program or project management experience within an aerospace, defense, or space parts manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience developing and implementing structured program-management processes within an organization.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Strong customer-management skills with experience managing external stakeholders and expectations; a commitment to accountability and delivery is essential.
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, engineering change control, quality systems (e.g., AS9100), and First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements.
