Senior Financial Analyst – Manufacturing | Plant Finance

-Compensation: $81-110k 1.5x QCB 3 Weeks PTO

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to partner closely with the Plant Controller and FP&A Manager to drive financial insight, operational performance, and decision support at the plant level. This role is highly visible and will regularly present financial results and analysis to Plant and Division leadership.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on finance professional who enjoys working in a manufacturing environment, owns analysis end-to-end, and wants exposure to both operations and leadership.
What You’ll Do
- Partner with plant leadership to analyze financial results and explain variances
- Support month-end close, quarterly reporting, and consolidation for Division and Corporate
- Develop and maintain daily and weekly financial & operational reporting
- Prepare monthly and quarterly review packages for Plant, Division, and Corporate leadership
- Analyze Income Statement and Balance Sheet variances, identify root causes, and present executive summaries
- Lead and support cost accounting activities, including:
- Standard rate collection and maintenance
- Overhead allocation
- Inventory forecasting and quarterly physical inventories
- Cost studies and rate change impact analysis
- Drive process improvements, system enhancements, and SOX-related activities
- Support management with product cost analysis, market analysis, and scrap disposition decisions
- Mentor and support junior finance and accounting team members
- Participate in system testing, documentation, and user training as needed
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business (Accounting emphasis preferred)
- 5–7 years of Accounting or Finance experience, ideally in manufacturing
- CPA and/or MBA preferred
- Strong understanding of cost accounting and statutory accounting principles
- Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience strongly preferred (Oracle a plus)
- Experience with SAS or SQL is a bonus
- Ability to communicate clearly with operations, finance, and leadership
- Comfortable spending time on the plant floor learning manufacturing processes
- Self-starter with strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
