What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Manager position at Movement Search & Delivery?
We are conducting a confidential search for a Safety Manager with a company that is a global supplier of industrial components to the packaging, paper, and pulp markets. This is a direct-hire position and it is based around Newberry, MI.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Provide leadership to support and assist all levels of management in achieving the facility and corporate goals for reduction of work-related injuries.
- Zero injuries is our goal.
- Assist in planning, creating, and implementing programs and processes to maintain a workplace that meets or exceeds federal and state safety requirements.
- Expert in all regulatory requirements, industry standards and local safety matters including integration of Health, Safety, Security and best practices into the mill.
- Experience in and knowledge of paper industry standards and process safety management (PSM) requirements.
- Ensures a proactive approach to injury prevention and reporting.
- Oversight of the mill’s contracted security staff, in-house emergency response teams, and property protection programs.

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:
* Bachelors degree preferred
* 3 years experience as a Safety Manager in a manufacturing environment
* Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM)
* Supervisory experience preferred

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
