Estimator will be an integral part of our collaborative Landscape Design team to create, develop, and execute designs for truly distinctive outdoor spaces per client request. Estimator reviews landscaping and construction documents, including blueprints, proposals, specifications, and other related documents. Identifies labor, material, and time requirements and computes costs and creates reports for presentation.
Estimator responsibilities include:
- Effectively communicates with landscape architects, crews, managers, and vendors to clarify construction drawings
- Identify labor, material, and time requirements and compute costs for project
- Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information; reviews and assess cost estimates
- Collects quotes from subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
- Ensure contract follows estabilshed process
- Prepares and presents cost estimate reports
- Conducts risk assessments regularly
- Oversees different stages of project to ensure that expenses follow the forecast plan
- Perform onsite inventories, take field measurements, as needed
Requirements
Estimator will have:
- Bachelor's degree in Landcape Architecture, Construction, or Accounting
- 3 years experience in a similar construction estimating role, minimum
- Experience in a design/build firm, strongly preferred
- Experience with residential landscape construction, strongly preferred
- Able to read blue prints, quotes, and understands construction specifications
- General knowledge and use of field related tools and equipment
- Familiarity of landscape installation, plants, site work and building materials
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills
- Familiar with Boss, Builder Trend, and Google Suite
