R&D Enterprise Tools Operations Specialist

We are hiring an R&D Enterprise Tools Operations Specialist to join our global support organization. This role is a critical enabler of R&D productivity, responsible for executing system requests, supporting enterprise tools, ensuring compliance, and continuously improving and automating operational processes.
This is not a basic support role. Success requires strong execution, attention to detail, curiosity about how R&D organizations function, and the ability to identify opportunities to digitize and automate manual work.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute enterprise tool and system requests for R&D users, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
- Provide professional, responsive, and empathetic support to scientists and engineers across a global organization
- Serve as a subject matter expert for one or more enterprise R&D business applications
- Develop deep understanding of R&D processes such as records management, lab data handling, change requests, and system access workflows
- Ensure data integrity and strict adherence to regulated R&D processes to support audits and inspections
- Build organizational know-how to anticipate customer needs and proactively improve support outcomes
- Identify manual or inefficient steps in existing processes and propose digitization, automation, or workflow improvements
- Apply automation, scripting, or AI-enabled solutions where appropriate to reduce administrative burden
- Collaborate closely with a diverse, global support team to maintain high service standards
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical, scientific, or business-related discipline
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience in operations, application support, system administration, or technical support roles
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, supporting a global user base
- Strong ability to quickly learn new systems, tools, and business processes
- Proven ability to execute complex, detail-oriented tasks accurately and consistently
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a global, hybrid, or virtual team environment
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting enterprise business applications such as:
- SAP
- Electronic Document Management Systems (EDMS)
- Learning Management Systems (LMS)
- Project or portfolio management tools
- Exposure to regulated environments such as R&D, life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or biotechnology
- Experience or education related to:
- Process automation
- Scripting or workflow tools
- Databases or data structures
- AI tools or prompt engineering
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Microsoft Office Suite, and Cornerstone
