What are the responsibilities and job description for the Scientist I – Spatial Omics position at Pharmaceutical Company?
We are seeking a Scientist I to join the Spatial Omics Lab within Pathology Department. This role focuses on designing, executing, and analyzing spatial proteomics and transcriptomics experiments to generate high-quality data from pathological tissue samples that support research and translational programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, plan, execute, and interpret spatial omics experiments with minimal supervision
- Perform hands-on work using Xenium, Visium, and/or COMET platforms
- Execute tissue processing, slide scanning, imaging, and data management workflows
- Collaborate closely with pathology, image analysis, and multidisciplinary research teams
- Maintain accurate scientific records and ensure adherence to lab processes and timelines
- Present data and findings to internal teams
Qualifications:
- BS/BA in a relevant scientific discipline
- 0–5 years of research experience
- Hands-on experience with spatial omics technologies preferred
- Experience with tissue handling, histology, imaging, and data interpretation
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently in a fast-paced lab environment
