Pikemann is looking for an Antenna Engineer who can design, develop, and test antennas for our products and projects. As an antenna engineer, you will be part of the Test Engineering team and work closely with other engineers and researchers to deliver high-quality antenna solutions. You will also be responsible for the following tasks:
- Derive RF test and measurement requirements from Antennas Product requirements
- Design, develop, and implement RF test methods, fixtures, and automation
- Perform antenna testing and measurement using various instruments and software
- Analyze and optimize antenna performance and radiation patterns
- Troubleshoot and resolve antenna issues and interference problems
- Document and report antenna test results and findings
As an Antenna Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing RF test solutions for our products.
- You will work with the product requirements to design and develop RF test methodologies, approaches, and hardware that ensure the quality and performance of our products.
- You will also design, develop and implement the RF test hardware, fixtures, and automation that enable efficient and reliable testing of our products.
- Additionally, you will be involved in continuous improvement of the NF/CATRs, fixtures, software, and procedures that support our RF testing processes.
Skills and Experience:
- Strong knowledge of Electromagnetics theory and Antenna fundamentals
- Proficient in RF measurement theory and practice using VNA, Spectrum/Signal Analyzer, Power Meter, etc.
- Programming experience in Python or MATLAB
- Experience with designing and implementing RF test solutions for commercial and military applications.
- Experience in performing K band or higher RF measurements in PNF/CNF/SNF/CATRs
- Demonstrated ability to perform NIST 18 Term antenna test range error assessments.
- Experience with Commercial Antenna Test Software (Orbit/FR 959, NSI/MI-3000)
Education/Qualifications:
- BSEE with 12 years’ experience, MSEE preferred with 10 years.
- Proficient in design and calculation software, such as MATLAB, CAD
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with other engineers and technicians.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
