Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for assessing and treating patients with breathing disorders, providing respiratory care treatments, and educating patients on how to manage their conditions. You will work closely with physicians and other healthcare providers to develop treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conducting patient assessments to diagnose respiratory conditions and develop treatment plans
- Administering medications and treatments, such as oxygen therapy and breathing exercises
- Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of treatments and adjusting as needed
- Educating patients on proper breathing techniques and self-care measures
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated patient care
- Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
- Responding to emergency situations, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential (Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential preferred)
- State licensure as a Respiratory Therapist
- CPR certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
