Responsibilities:• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department.• Produce accurate financial reports for management and stakeholders.• Utilize Microsoft Excel to analyze complex financial data and extract relevant information.• Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.• Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports.• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.• Establish and implement short-range and long-range departmental goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.• Design, establish, and maintain an organizational structure and staffing to effectively accomplish the department's goals and objectives.• Serve as primary government liaison relative to financial issues.
