Description

Robert Half Legal Permanent Placement is seeking atwo (2) Direct Claims Account Managers for our client in Boston. After 6 months, very flexible schedule which could lead to fully remote.

Quick Job Summary: The Direct Claims Account Manager will have the responsibility to manage, process, and coordinate activities relative to complex environmental, asbestos, and latent type claims. This includes deciding on policy issues, setting up adequate reserves and handling any related tasks.

Key Skills And Abilities

• Possess 3-5 years of experience in general toxic torts.
• Previous engagement with asbestos is desirable.
• Holding an industry-specific qualification like CPCU is advantageous.
  
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Review loss notices, interpret policy coverages and establish adequate reserves.
• Handle claims involving primary, excess, and umbrella coverages.
• Directly communicate with the concerned parties for claim facts, via calls, emails, or personal meetings.
• Work with the reinsurance department for account management and enquiries.
• Assign defense and coverage counsel, expert witnesses, and coordinate with peer carriers.
• Ensure proper file setup, exposure evaluation, and coverage interpretation in compliance with company procedure.
• Participate in developing claim handling techniques and strategies.
• Update senior management with specific claims information.
• Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date information in the company's claim management system.
  
  
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• A J.D. Degree is highly preferred. If not, candidates/Paralegals with significant defense or insurance coverage experience will be considered.
• Should have at least 3-5 years of experience in handling general toxic torts.
• Some experience with asbestos is highly preferred.
• Applicants must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, and other internet applications.
• Holding a CPCU or any other industry designation will be considered an advantage.
