We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Dispatch Coordinator to support our transportation operations. This role is ideal for someone with strong communication and multitasking skills who can work independently as required. You’ll handle day-to-day communication with drivers and technicians, keep systems updated, and support billing and dispatch-related processes.
Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (On-call flexibility a plus but not required)
Pay Rate: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
- Communicate with drivers and technicians throughout the day to provide updates and instructions
- Monitor GPS and TMS systems to track driver activity and ensure timely arrivals
- Enter and update load information and appointment details in our TMS (Ascend)
- File and organize dispatch-related paperwork, including delivery receipts and bills of lading
- Manage email and TMS inboxes for overnight or after-hours updates
- Accept tendered loads and schedule pickup/delivery appointments by phone, email, or portals
- Provide unloading fee codes for locations that charge accessorial fees
- Handle routine updates to customer profiles and client information
- Collaborate with internal staff for container updates and equipment tracking
- Scan and send supporting billing documentation to customers and internal contacts
- Enter orders into a daily dispatch report and maintain equipment inventory logs
- Assist with basic billing tasks and mark completed loads as “To Be Billed”
- Support maintenance tracking by coordinating with vendors for service appointments
- 1 - 2 years of dispatch or transportation support experience preferred
- Familiarity with TMS platforms and GPS tracking systems
- Basic understanding of transportation terminology (tenders, POD, detention, etc.)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and make decisions when the dispatcher is unavailable
