Our client is seeking a Warehouse Superintendent - Night Shift (Rotating) to lead warehouse operations across two manufacturing facilities. This role is responsible for safe, efficient, and compliant warehouse operations while supporting production through strong leadership, inventory control, and cross-functional coordination.
HOURS -
Shift Schedule:
12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
Rotating schedule: 2 days on / 2 days off / 3 days on / 2 days off
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and promote safety initiatives across all warehouse operations
- Supervise warehouse personnel including shipping, dock, and material handling teams
- Conduct shift handoff meetings and ensure work continuity between shifts
- Coach and develop team members on safety, quality, and productivity
- Support leadership with policy compliance, performance reviews, and employee relations
- Partner with HR on disciplinary actions as needed
- Ensure proper material flow, silo usage, and resin accuracy to support continuous operations
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels through effective communication and supervision
- Oversee inventory accuracy, IL verifications, and internal material movements
- Monitor scrap processes and implement best practices, including bulk waste reporting
- Train team members on equipment, material handling, and operational procedures
- Manage mobile equipment operations, including training, maintenance coordination, and safe use
- Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure compliance with 6S requirements
- Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, ISO, and quality standards
- Coordinate warehouse activities with production, planning, quality, and customer service teams
- Conduct warehouse audits to ensure inventory accuracy and regulatory compliance
- Oversee finished goods, raw materials, salvage, and rework disposition
- Lead special projects and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure safe operation of AGV systems
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred
- 5 years of experience in warehouse, materials, or logistics leadership
- Proven ability to lead teams and drive proactive operational improvements
- Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and warehouse/ERP systems (JD Edwards or similar preferred)
- Ability to train employees on equipment, procedures, and safety standards
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Manufacturing environment with noise; hearing protection required
- Safety shoes, safety glasses, and additional PPE required as needed
- Standing and walking throughout shift
- Occasional bending, climbing, pushing/pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs
