Southern New Hampshire University is currently seeking a student to serve as a Fitness Center Supervisor to oversee the main campus Fitness Center, Athletic Complex and Larkin Field operations and its programs. This position will be responsible for interacting with the SNHU Community and provide a great experience for fitness enthusiasts and newcomers. The Fitness Center Supervisor position is a promotion from the Fitness Center Attendant position. Only Fitness Center Attendants in good standing who exhibit leadership qualities will be considered for this position. Position Overview: Fitness Center Supervisors are responsible for the overall safety of the patrons as well as maintaining of fitness equipment. Supervisors are responsible for the daily operations of the Fitness Center, Athletic Complex, and Larkin Field including but not limited to: customer service, tracking patron usage, risk management, fitness orientations, student staff management, and facility cleanliness. Position Responsibilities: Assist with training, onboarding, and evaluation of Fitness Center Attendants. Serve as the point person for facility, reservation, and schedule management. Manage conflict resolution with patrons and community members. Serve as shift leader while delegating tasks and managing own workload. Ensure Fitness Center Attendants and self are enforcing policies and completing assigned tasks (including but not limited to cleaning, rounds, patron counts). Serve as the primary responder for emergency situations. Minimum Qualifications Enrolled in a degree program at SNHU Work-Study as part of the financial aid offer CPR/AED certification (will be provided if not current) Only current Fitness Center Attendants are considered for the Supervisor position Hours: Fitness Center Supervisors can expect to work 10-15 hours per week (depending on availability). Shifts are given in 3-6 hour increments. Fitness Center hours of operation are: Monday-Thursday 7am-10pm, Friday 7am-9pm, Saturday 10am-6pm, and Sunday 10am-8pm.
