The Internal Staff Accountant is responsible for the creation and the delivery of financial statements to internal clients (accountants) in a timely fashion. Success of this position is measured by maintaining deadlines and internal client satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: – Other duties may be assigned

- Processing complete monthly financials for industry specific clients on a timely basis, on an agreed upon schedule with the internal assigned client, and reviewing any financial issues with the client when necessary
- Provide high level of customer service to internal clients increasing the value to the SAS services by allowing client more time for client discussion and projects
- Creating and self- reviewing financial reports, workpapers and reconciliations
- Tracking the delivery of the status of deliverables (ready to prepare, in process, in for review) and communicating on a routine basis to the Accounting Manager any scheduling conflicts
- Customer service internal clients

- Assist with reviewing the tasks of Accounting Clerks
- Compile financial statements within SAS guidelines and client expectations
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent experience of 1 years
- Experience in accounting, public accounting experience preferred, but not a must
- Ability to handle numerous responsibilities and meet deadlines is required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of accounting systems such as Greentree, Peachtree, and QuickBooks preferred, but not a must
- Strong experience with Microsoft Excel (V-Lookups & Pivot Tables)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
NOTE: This is largely a sedentary role; however, filing is required. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary.
