Position Summary
Under the direction of the Administrative Services Division (ASD) Deputy Administrator, this senior manager position is responsible for the planning, development, and administration of the programs of the Bureau of Procurement and Information Management (BPIM), including procurement, records management, forms management, publications and web development for the department. It is responsible for directing, coordinating, and administering day to day operations, managing staff and employee relation functions of BPIM, and coordinating project activities. This position is responsible for the monitoring and development of the BPIM Bureau Budget. This position also participates in the development of strategic planning processes to support and facilitate the strategic planning efforts and initiatives of the department. Salary Information
Starting pay is between $112,300 and $120,700 per year, depending on qualifications, plus an exemplary benefits package:

The classification title for this position is DWD Manager (schedule 81, range 01). A two-year Career Executive trial period will be required. This position is considered exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Pay will be set in accordance with the State Compensation Plan in effect at the time of appointment. Starting pay may vary for current state employees.

Remote work: Employees with approved remote and hybrid-remote work arrangements are generally expected to work within the state of Wisconsin. High-speed internet access is required to meet the needs of remote work. Remote work options are subject to change.

Finalists for this position may be required to allow DWD to conduct a background check or other checks to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled. For positions with access to sensitive federal tax information, FBI fingerprinting may also be required.

- Leading a procurement program area (e.g., IT procurement or other specific business area) or leading a procurement project of significant scope and complexity in addition to multiple smaller less complex projects.
- Working with multiple stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Working in public-sector procurement (such as for a city, county, state, or federal government entity), including producing requests for proposals (RFPs) and/or requests for bids (RFBs).
- Creating and delivering informal training regarding complex topics to staff and stakeholders.
- Leading or supervising staff.
- Directing, coordinating, and administering day-to-day procurement operations.
- Managing multiple complex procurement requests, including RFPs and RFBs (or similar) involving multimillion dollar contracts.
- Supervising or managing procurement and program related staff.
- Creating and delivering formal training for multiple audiences of varying levels of knowledge.
