What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aluminum Sales Representative position at Steel Dynamics, Inc.?
Responsible for developing and maintaining outside sales activities and general business relationships with customers within a designated territory.
- Solicits sales from customers and develops direct business relationships
- Develops new business and expands customer base to support commercial strategies of the company
- Negotiates price agreements as well as other commercial arrangements with customers as directed
- Contacts end market customers to sell aluminum scrap.
- Maintain existing accounts for continued customer service.
- Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
- Internal knowledge of the scheduling, order entry, allocation, and production processes
- Excellent personnel and time management development skills
- Effective communicator capable of interfacing (internally & externally) with a wide variety of individuals and job levels
- Possess strong reasoning skills and solid understanding of the market conditions that affect the business of the company and of the customer
- Solid grasp of the market and the industry
- A broad range of contacts within the industry and must be constantly expanded
- Ability to travel
