Attire (mandatory): Business dress slacks and a dress jacket, nothing that states security, etc as they want a more discrete presence. Professional appearance required.
Compensation: $20-$25/hr depending on experience, performance, etc.
Job Summary
This is an ARMED position, must have CPL and a legal side-arm to apply.
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Security Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security at our designated location. This position requires a proactive approach to loss prevention, effective conflict management skills, and the ability to respond swiftly to emergencies. The Armed Security Officer will be responsible for monitoring premises, enforcing regulations/policies, and ensuring a secure environment for both employees and visitors.
Duties
- Checking in with Mall security at the start of each shift.
- Meet with Theater staff and obtain show times, what to expect for the night while on shift.
- ID checks for everyone entering Theater starting at 7pm - as all personnel entering the Theater after 7pm must be accompanied by an adult - adult being over the age of 21 = Theater Policy which we are there to uphold, no exceptions.
- Monitor customers throughout the night; removing anyone who poses a threat, creates unnecessary issues, participates in property damage or verbal altercations with staff.
- Enforce security policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Manage conflicts effectively, utilizing de-escalation techniques when necessary.
- Collaborate with mall security & law enforcement agencies when required, ensuring proper communication and reporting of incidents.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
- Assist in training new security personnel on protocols and procedures related to surveillance and loss prevention.
Experience
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail in identifying potential security threats.
