Vehicle: Transportation operations are conducted using a company control vehicle equipped with added safety features: partition/cage, vehicle cameras, and body cameras.

Job Description:

Are you ready to take on a unique and challenging role in the field of transportation security? We are currently seeking a Detainee Transportation Security Officer to join our team based in LeRoy, MI. As part of this dynamic position, you will be responsible for the secure transportation of detainees on an as-needed basis.

Key Responsibilities:

• Secure Transportation: Safely and securely transport detainee from one location to another across the state of Michigan and occasionally beyond.
• Adherence to Protocols: Follow established security protocols and procedures to ensure the safe and efficient transit of detainee.
• Communication: Maintain effective communication with the relevant authorities and team members to ensure smooth coordination during transport operations.
• Safety and Security Measures: Implement and enforce safety and security measures to mitigate potential risks and ensure the well-being of all parties involved.
• Confidentiality: Uphold strict confidentiality regarding the nature of the transported individuals and the details of the operations.
• Compile Comprehensive Detail Reports: Applicants must have comprehensive report building skills and be able to meticulously document key aspects of each transport to produce a detailed report including photographic evidence.

Requirements:

• Background Check and Drug Screening: Applicant must pass a background check and drug screening.
• Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid and current driver's license. Applicants will be subject to a motor vehicle check.
• Michigan Concealed Pistol License (CPL): Must hold a valid Michigan CPL, demonstrating a commitment to responsible firearm ownership.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to meet the physical demands of the position, including long-distance driving and potentially challenging situations.
• Adaptability: Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to varying schedules and on-call requirements.
• Professionalism: Uphold the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and integrity in all interactions.
• Chauffeur's License: Must obtain or be willing/able to obtain within 90 days of employment.

The ideal candidate would have:

• Prior armed security experience, prior law enforcement, military, corrections
• Prior experience working with juveniles; Probation officer, social worker, correction facility/youth home detention center.
• Transportation experience; Commercial driver, transportation security, chauffeur
• Experience writing detailed reports
