Lift Operation Supervisor

The Lift Operations Supervisor ensures that the lift operations are conducted according to procedural standards predetermined by Lift Operations Management.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
• Supervise and guide lead operators and lift operators with their daily duties
• Verify and inspect daily procedural standards
• Interview and hire potential lift operators
• Train and orient lead operators and lift operators to their positions and departments
• Appraise and discipline lift operators on performance
• Provide employees with regular performance feedback
• Prepare lifts for the opening and closing of each season
• Responsible for proper investigation and handling of lift-related skier accidents
• Addressing complaints and resolving problems

Qualifications:

• At least a high school diploma or a General Education Certificate (GED).
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
• Have advanced ski/snowboard skills.
• Be available to work weekends, holidays, and nights when needed.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
• The employee must frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, shovel, rake, or ice chip.
• The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; extreme cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
