What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lift Operations Lead position at Sun Valley Resort?
The Lift Operations Lead is to assist all lift operators and supervisors. They are responsible for assisting the lift operators throughout their daily job duties.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist in training lift operators
- Assist lift operators with their daily tasks
- Assist lift operators in snow removal and daily set up and close routines
- Be available for early morning operations during the winter season
- Daily inspections of on-hill operations
- Work with all mountain departments
- Promote safety and provide excellent guest services
- Assist lift maintenance with daily lift inspections
- Follow company/department safety policies and procedures
- Complete pre-operational procedures and inspections.
- Anticipate guests’ needs and provide service above and beyond guest expectations.
- Remain alert for guests improperly loading and unloading the ski lifts
- Work with all mountain departments respectfully in assisting and resolving issues that could arise during the operations
Qualifications:
- Lift operations and skiing or snowboarding experience is required
- 18 years or older, high school diploma or equivalent
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand English
- Able to lift 50 pounds, Able to work outside in all weather conditions
- Skiing/Snowboarding is a plus but not required
- Completion of Sun Valley lift department/lift operator training
- Can work weekends, holidays, and early mornings (6:00 a.m.)
- Able to work through the entire winter season
