We are seeking a Psychological Counselor to join our team at Tenet Massachusetts. As a Psychological Counselor, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychiatric care to adult, adolescent, and child patients by planning and implementing milieu treatment approaches. You will work collaboratively with other unit staff to assess and evaluate patient mental status, initiate and maintain a therapeutic relationship, and coordinate milieu environment for a therapeutic experience.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with other unit staff to assess and evaluate patient mental status, initiate and maintain a therapeutic relationship, and coordinate milieu environment for a therapeutic experience.
- Provide supportive care to patients, including participating in conversation, recreational activities, and daily living activities, while setting limits and reassuring patients.
- Function as a milieu therapist to assigned patients, collaborating with the nurse therapist to determine a treatment approach and ensuring quality delivery of care.
- Record all relevant information on patient charts and prepare regular reports describing each patient's mental status and functioning.
