Our wholesale fashion manufacturer client is seeking a Wholesale Merchandise Planner to work out of their Midtown office! The Planner is essential for supporting our production and planning efforts, utilizing keen analytical insight to anticipate trends, managing production timelines, and coordinating effectively with internal teams to ensure efficient operations.
Wholesale Planning experience REQUIRED!
Outerwear or Swimwear exposure required
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop data-driven business strategies by analyzing historical and current trends.
• Proactively address potential inventory risks or opportunities, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Weekly review and reforecast ladder plans at the style level, ensuring alignment with sales and production goals.
• Identify potential sales and profitability improvements, providing recommendations to department leads.
• Construct production plans based on volume groups, POS performance, and SKU specifics at the style/color/size level.
• Create strategic unit and financial assortment plans tailored by style and customer needs.
• Perform weekly sales and inventory analysis, reforecasting at the SKU level to optimize sales and reduce markdowns.
Qualifications:
• 4 years of experience in wholesale merchandise planning.
• Experience with production scheduling and planning.
• Strong analytical and forecasting skills.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate across teams.
• Detail-oriented, with superior organizational skills.
Salary : $80,000 - $95,000
