Our client is a New Jersey-based real estate magazine and website dedicated to commercial real estate in the Garden State, is seeking to grow sales team with a motivated, dedicated and creative account executive. This is a remote position with occasional travel for client meetings and events, providing our team with flexibility and the ability to work without a typical commute.
As the voice of New Jersey’s dynamic and affluent commercial real estate sector, the magazine reaches more than 20,000 subscribers in total between monthly magazine and daily email blasts. The founder and publisher has been a commercial real estate owner and investor in New Jersey for more than 40 years and has worked with virtually every influential real estate executive in the state. He is also responsible for helping to launch real estate programs at Business Schools and other notable institutions.
Their current sales force of two people cannot handle all the requests to advertise we are getting.
To help continue growth, they are looking for an experienced account executive to sell advertising and partnerships in monthly magazine, digital platforms and growing events calendar. Most leads are executives in the New Jersey commercial real estate industry that know their publisher, have spoken to him and have communicated a desire to advertise.
Almost every day we get an email request from a new customer to advertise. This is not your typical “cold calling” B2B sales position.
The goal is to help real estate professionals and those who service the industry grow their business by reaching their peers, competitors and potential business partners.
Requirements:
A vision to help grow New Jersey’s most exciting B2B publication
Generate revenue by soliciting advertising contracts via appointments, events, following up on leads, referrals and prospecting ads from other publications and sources
Ideas for new revenue generation
The ability to understand and sell both print and digital media and event sponsorships
Excellent customer service skills and the ability to maintain accounts over time
An innovative, entrepreneurial approach to publishing
Ability to interact with C-suite executives, marketing specialists and third-party agencies
The successful candidate will have an attractive commission plan that pays double-digit percentages with unlimited potential. There is no cap on this plan.
