What are the responsibilities and job description for the Litigation Legal Assistant position at Trustpoint.One?
Trustpoint is excited to partner with an Am Law 200 law firm in their search of a Legal Assistant on a direct hire basis. This role will being fully onsite, transition to 1 day/week remote after 90 days, and be based out of the firm's Orlando office. The position will support the firm's civil defense litigation practice group. Successful candidates will have 3 years' experience in civil defense litigation with prior experience in medical malpractice preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Enter attorney timesheets, utilizing firm software; maintaining attorney diary system
- Answer, screen, direct or take messages of phone calls; scheduling depositions, meetings and appointments
- Open attorney mail and route accordingly
- Transcription using BigHand dictation
- File system maintenance and management, per firm guidelines
- Make travel arrangements and reservations for attorney as needed
- Other duties and special projects as needed
Requirements:
- 3 years' experience in civil defense litigation; experience in medical malpractice (preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Able to communicate will all levels of attorney and staff, effectively and professionally
- Exceptional organizational typing skills
- Able to prioritize workflow and manage cases/projects efficiently
