Class A or B Driver

Job Summary:

Sheridan MN, a CJK Group company, is looking for an experienced Class A or B driver to join our 2nd shift team. As a vital member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for preparing and transporting raw materials and finished goods between our main plant and fulfillment warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate company-owned and/or leased trucks to facilitate shipping and receiving operations
• Load truck with raw product at the fulfillment warehouse to transport to the main plant
• Assist in preparing finished product to be shipped by banding, wrapping, and loading product into truck using a forklift
• Load truck with finished product at main plant to transport to the fulfillment warehouse
• Ensure shipping documents and checklist are completed, matching customer requirements and sent to the fulfillment warehouse shipping department in a timely manner
• Ensure every load being transported is secure
• Unload truck when needed at main plant, fulfillment warehouse or at customers place of business

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid Class A/CDL license with Air Brake Endorsement or Valid Class B license
• Clean driving record
• Medical card
• 1 or more year(s) of experience as a truck driver
• Ability to understand vehicle maintenance and operation
• Ability to meet deadlines and work overtime and other shifts as required
• Forklift certification
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

Work Environment:

The work is performed in a factory environment with regular exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and physical hazards of machinery, plus some exposure to fumes, oils, lubricants, and chemicals.

Physical Demands:

• Must be able to walk with ease, as some operations require constant walking
• Standing: Must be able to stand on a concrete floor for varying amounts of time
• Must be able to bend downward from the waist, and flex knees, often to get lifts of printed materials and forms from the bottom of pallets from floor height up to waist (or a bit higher)
• Operation of forklifts and trucks requires continuous sitting
• Climbing: Must be able to climb on and off forklift and truck
• Grasping: Must be able to grasp/hold controls for forklift and truck operation
• Ability to use hand pallet jacks and fork trucks

Salary : $50,000 - $65,000
