Sheridan is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bindery Helper to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be a key player on our 3rd shift, responsible for performing a variety of physical tasks involving recurring hand work and light machine operations.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Loading printed signatures into correct pocket for collating.
- Inspecting product from line to ensure good quality and communicating issues to operator.
- Hand collating, inserting, stickering, ribbon application, and repairing.
- Accurately recording all production in job tickets, load tags, and logbooks.
- Closing, taping and palletizing boxes.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Performing day-to-day maintenance of Machine when applicable.
Basic Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Ability to understand and follow basic verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to read sufficiently to identify various printed forms and count accurately.
- Ability to work in a team setting.
Physical Requirements:
- Walking: Must be able to walk with ease.
- Standing: Must be able to stand for long periods on a concrete floor or wooden platform.
- Lifting: Must be able to lift materials weighing up to 50 pounds continuously.
- Twisting: Must be able to twist/rotate at the waist when loading or packing.
