The Department of Radiology is seeking a highly motivated, professional self-starter to join its growing research team. The successful candidate will support development and implementation of a state-of-the-art infrastructure for our expanding research enterprise.
Responsibilities will include: planning and coordinating initiation of research study protocols and establishment of operating policies and procedures; developing and managing study budgets and fiscal controls for projects to ensure that pre-established work scope, protocol and regulatory requirements are followed; overseeing and coordinating provision of administrative and staff services to investigators; recruiting and coordinating study participants; preparing documents for the Human Research Review Committee (HRRC), the General Clinical Research Center (GCRC), and the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC); planning, implementing and maintaining data collection and analysis systems; coordinating research meetings; assisting with preparation of contracts and grants proposals. The successful candidate must have excellent technical writing and communication skills as well as the ability to generate the appropriate reports to the various funding agencies as needed. Previous experiences with grant submission to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), National Cancer Institute (NCI) at NIH, or Congressionally Directed Medical Research Programs (CDMRP), with search or report tools such as NIH RePORT, Federal RePORTER, or CDMRP eReceipt and ERA Commons is preferred.
