The Cooley Kill Restaurant & Bar is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic Bartender to join our team full-time. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting and serving drinks, maintaining a clean and organized bar, engaging with guests, and ensuring an exceptional bar and dining experience. You will report directly to the Front of House Manager and must be someone who enjoys creating a welcoming atmosphere and delivering top-notch service.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, mix, and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
- Take drink and food orders directly from guests at the bar and through servers
- Recommend and upsell drink specials and menu items
- Maintain bar inventory and restock supplies as needed
- Ensure compliance with all state and local alcohol service laws
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe bar environment
- Handle cash and process payments accurately using a point-of-sale system
- Interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner to create a positive guest experience
Requirements:
- Previous bartending experience required
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol
- Knowledge of drink recipes and bartending techniques
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Basic math skills with the ability to make accurate change
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed

- Proficiency in operating a point-of-sale system
- Knowledge of workplace safety and sanitation procedures
- Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently
Essential Physical Requirements:
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods during the entire shift
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Frequent reaching, bending, and stooping
- Must maintain proper hygiene and wash hands frequently
