Job description
The Cooley Kill Restaurant & Bar is seeking experienced, enthusiastic Food Servers. Responsibilities will include taking food and drink orders, speaking with customers, recommending menu items, communicating with the bartenders and kitchen staff, processing payments, and creating a pleasant dining experience that exceeds customers’ expectations. As a Food Server, you will report directly to the Front of House Manager. You must be someone who genuinely loves interacting with guests and has a sincere commitment to providing excellent service.
Requirements:
- Previous customer service experience
- A positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure with other employees
- Able to perform high-quality work while unsupervised
- Able to handle money accurately and operate a point-of-sale system
- Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment and deliver orders in a timely manner
Skills:
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to recommend and upsell food and beverage items
- Basic mathematical skills with the ability to make change
- Must be able to read and write
- Computer proficiency
- Multi-tasking and able to move in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of workplace safety procedures
- When applicable, must have licenses, certifications, or registrations according to State requirements
Essential physical requirements:
- Able to work standing up and walking during the entire shift. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions
- Able to continuously reach, carry, lift, bend, stoop and wipe
- Pulling, pushing and carrying up to 50 pounds
- Personal hygiene is a must plus frequent washing of hands is required
- Must be of legal age to serve alcohol

Pay: $9.45 - $10.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
