Ministry Area Purpose:
The Next Generation Ministry exists to partner with parents to help kids and students (birth through college) become followers of Jesus and know they are loved by God, empowered by His Spirit, and called to share Jesus with the world around them.
Role:
The Next Gen Director leads a volunteer team devoted to partnering with parents to inspire and equip kids, students, and young people to be and love like Jesus. The Next Gen director helps build and manage relationships with our Hub partner churches, collaborating on events such as VBS.
Responsibilities:
- Weekly Responsibilities: lead and implement Sunday morning kids programming and Wednesday night student programming, building relationships with other campus staff, volunteers, parents and kids/students
- Volunteer Development: Ensure that all ministry areas utilize trained volunteer leaders through holistic recruitment, development and support
- Event Planning: Envision and lead family events throughout the year to help build culture and community amongst Bush Lake families and/or Hub partners
- Ministry Planning: Assist in the development of the annual ministry plan and oversee the stewardship of resources within the Next Gen budget
- Additional Responsibilities: Serve on leadership teams and carry out other responsibilities as assigned by the Campus Pastor. Collaborate with the wider Westwood Community Church NextGen team to assure aligned and effective ministry

Requirements
- Someone who lives a life that honors God in heart, actions, and relationships, with the goal of becoming more like Jesus
- High School Diploma (required), bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Minimum two years of direct Next Gen ministry leadership experience (preferred); minimum one year of direct ministry experience (required).
- Demonstrated success in leading volunteers and developing systems.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills across diverse audiences.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Endorse and support Westwood’s Statement of Faith
- Remain a member in good standing of Westwood Community Church
Salary : $20 - $24
