Job Title: Senior Director of Physician Recruitment

Location: Dallas, TX (Hybrid – 2–3 days onsite per week)

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Salary Range: $134,000 – $167,000

Bonus: 5%–10% annual target

Travel Requirements: 10%–20% (events, clinics, client sites)


Position Overview

Wheeler Staffing Partners is hiring a Senior Director of Physician Recruitment for a direct hire opportunity based in Dallas, TX. This hybrid role (2–3 days onsite per week) will lead strategic recruitment efforts across emergency medicine, hospitalist, and anesthesia services. The selected candidate will manage a team of physician recruitment professionals and drive innovative, data-driven recruitment strategies in support of clinical growth nationwide.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement national strategies to recruit and retain physicians and advanced practice providers (APPs).
  • Lead a team of 12 recruitment and workforce development professionals.
  • Create talent acquisition plans targeting remote, rural, and underserved markets.
  • Use workforce data to shape recruitment strategies and forecast market needs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with senior leadership, marketing, and clinical teams.
  • Define KPIs and implement tracking systems to measure recruitment success.
  • Support market expansions by forecasting hiring needs and building pipelines.
  • Introduce scalable, proactive, and metrics-driven recruiting processes.
  • Enhance employer branding to position the organization as an employer of choice.
  • Manage workforce planning, budgeting, and talent reporting.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Human Resources, or related field.
  • 7 years of experience in healthcare workforce development, clinical recruitment, or physician recruiting.
  • 3 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
  • 3 years of experience specifically in physician recruitment.
  • Experience developing and managing recruitment KPIs, metrics, and strategies.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building physician recruitment campaigns in clinical settings.
  • Familiarity with emergency medicine or acute care provider staffing.
  • Working knowledge of recruitment technology and workforce planning tools.
  • Success in leading KPI-driven recruitment teams and change initiatives.


Schedule & Work Environment

  • Hybrid Schedule: 2–3 days onsite in Dallas, TX per week.
  • Occasional travel (10%–20%) to industry events, client sites, and clinical locations.
