Position Overview
The Industrial Manufacturing Engineer will optimize manufacturing processes, ensure efficient resource utilization, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply statistical methods and mathematical calculations to optimize manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
- Create and maintain Value Stream Maps, Yamazumi charts, and Standard Work documentation.
- Maintain plant layouts for new product launches, process changes, and equipment movements.
- Develop and maintain capacity plans and analyze/report these to ensure proper capacity.
- Collaborate with PC and Purchasing to develop packaging standards and optimize logistics flow.
- Perform time studies and audits to confirm cycle times and improve efficiency.
- Implement Kaizen projects for material handling, logistics, and operator efficiency.
- Draft and design layouts of equipment and workspaces for maximum efficiency.
- Develop manufacturing methods and labor utilization standards.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in a related field preferred.
- Supervisory experience and Green/Black Belt certifications are a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and project coordination skills.
- Ability to pass background checks and drug tests.
