The Surveillance Supervisor will ensure the regulatory security of tribal assets including the safety of guests, employees, cash and physical assets of the Gaming Operation by visually monitoring and reporting on the gaming activities. The Supervisor must have a strong understanding of the regulatory documents and policies and procedures. The Supervise must prioritize the training and support of the Surveillance Agents in accordance with the department and Commission policies and procedures. The Surveillance Supervisor will report directly to the Surveillance Manager. In absence of a manager, directly to the Director.
This position is responsible and subject to the CIN Personnel Policies and Procedures Manual.
Essential Functions —
- Monitor camera coverage to ensure the integrity of gambling, banking, count room and cash handling procedures.
- Immediately reports suspicious, unusual activities or transactions to the Director of Surveillance.
- Ensure all information is shared with the next shift and strong communication is maintained between each shift.
- Ensure equipment used by the Surveillance department is functioning as intended.
- Review the actions of those being observed and ensure compliance with approved system of internal controls, regulatory documents, and policies and procedures.
- Cooperate with Casino Operations and Security to ensure associate and customer safety, as well as identifying areas of concern or investigative need.
- Review camera coverage to ensure that the movement of all chips, cash and funds transferred within the Casino are under constant surveillance.
- Always maintains strict confidentiality and professionalism.
- Maintains daily log sheets and completes Incident Reports to note all unusual customer behavior, theft, customer and/or associate accidents, procedural errors made by associates, etc.
- Train new staff members through the Surveillance training program.
- Evaluate and report any concerns with shift employees to the Manager or Director for proper course of action.
- Assists Gaming Device Technician and Gaming Auditors when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Must undergo a Criminal Background Investigation done under the rules of the National Indian Gaming Commission. Will be required to complete and pass pre-employment drug testing.
Education & Experience
- High School diploma or GED. Associates Degree preferred
- A minimum of three (3) years of Casino Surveillance experience
- Successful completion of the Agent I, II, and III testing

- Working knowledge of Tribal Gaming Ordinance, Tribal Gaming Commission Internal Controls, NIGC regulations, and Casino Policies and Procedure standards
- Must be knowledgeable about modern methods of surveillance and security, fire safety procedures, detainment and arrest procedures, investigative techniques, and handling evidence
- Must meet standards established for a key gaming license
- Must abide by Commission confidentiality policies
Work Environment & Physical Demands
- Ability to work on ladders and lift equipment safely at heights up to 30’, utilizing proper fall protection
- Ability to lift and move at least 75 pounds
- Ability to use hand tools, test equipment and power tools in a safe manor
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
Salary : $45,000 - $60,000
