What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ice Arena Attendants position at City of Jefferson?
The City of Jefferson is currently accepting applications for Ice Arena Attendants for our Parks and Recreation Department. These positions work at the Washington Park Ice Arena. Ice Arena Attendants are responsible for facility cleanliness and custodial duties in and around the facility; collection of Ice Arena admission fees, public relations, concession preparation, sales and cleanliness, supervision of participants, enforcement of rules and regulations, care and maintenance of skates and skate shop area and other duties as assigned.
Ice Arena Attendants - Must be at least 16 years of age, first aid and CPR certification preferred. Prefer previous money handling experience, experience operating a computer and electronic cash register and concession experience. Ability to deal with the public in a cordial, cooperative, and friendly manner; ability to consistently and equitably enforce facility rules and regulations. Skating skill is not a requirement to be hired, but must be acquired within the first month of employment.
The starting salary depends on qualifications. The minimum starting salary for a Ice Arena Attendant is $12.30 per hour.
