What You Will Be Doing
- Setting up materials, equipment, and learning spaces for workshops and sessions.
- Supporting academic staff in their daily activities.
- Facilitating student engagement and monitoring participation.
- Managing schedules and overseeing transitions between sessions.
- Receiving mentorship from leaders transforming K-12 education.
- Remaining passive: You won't be observing from the sidelines or simply supervising; you'll be actively engaged in supporting students and their educational experience.
- Handling advanced instruction alone: You're not required to lecture, lead full classes, or provide emotional coaching (yet); those responsibilities belong to the Guides.
- Working without purpose: This role is far from just another job. You'll have a tangible impact on helping children flourish and develop, ensuring every hour is meaningful.
Assist Guides in fulfilling Alpha's core commitments to students: driving academic achievement, cultivating life skills, and building a genuine passion for learning.
Basic Requirements
- Available to work in person at our Miami campus.
- Able to commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week, with complete flexibility to select your schedule during school hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM). Full-time position available.
- Prior experience working with children.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Approachable, kid-friendly demeanor.
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.

Working with us
This is a part-time (20 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $30 USD/hour, which equates to $30,000 USD/year assuming 20 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
