• Hours: Part-time or full-time availability (10 hours per week minimum)

What You Will Be Doing

• Setting up materials, equipment, and learning spaces for workshops and sessions.
• Assisting academic staff with day-to-day support.
• Monitoring and encouraging student engagement.
• Managing schedules and facilitating smooth transitions between sessions.
• Receiving mentorship from leaders who are transforming K-12 education.
  
  

What You Won’t Be Doing

• Remaining passive: You won't simply observe or supervise from a distance; you'll be actively engaged in supporting students and their educational experience.
• Getting overwhelmed: You're not required to lecture, lead entire classes, or provide emotional coaching (yet); those are responsibilities of the Guide.
• Performing work without purpose: This isn't just a job. You'll contribute meaningfully to helping students thrive and develop, ensuring every hour you invest counts.
  
  

Tutor Key Responsibilities

Assist Guides in fulfilling Alpha's commitments to students: driving academic achievement, building life skills, and cultivating a passion for learning.

Basic Requirements

• Available to work in person at our Miami campus.
• Commit to a minimum of 10 hours per week, with complete flexibility to select your schedule during school hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM). Full-time option available.
• Prior experience working with children.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Friendly, approachable demeanor suitable for working with kids.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without requiring visa sponsorship.

Working with us

This is a part-time (20 hours per week), long-term position. The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with Crossover as a Contractor of Record. The compensation level for this role is $30 USD/hour, which equates to $30,000 USD/year assuming 20 hours per week and 50 weeks per year. The payment period is weekly.
