Position Overview:
As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities within the hotel, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with regulations. You will play a crucial role in optimizing financial performance, implementing effective financial strategies, and providing valuable insights to support decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain comprehensive financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to guide decision-making and achieve financial targets.
2. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
3. Cost Control: Implement strategies to monitor and control costs across all departments, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
4. Revenue Management: Analyze revenue streams, monitor trends, and develop strategies to maximize revenue generation and profitability.
5. Cash Management: Manage cash flow, optimize working capital, and oversee banking activities to ensure sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
6. Financial Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and industry standards, conducting regular audits and implementing corrective measures as necessary.
7. Financial Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, including currency exchange fluctuations, interest rate risks, and credit risks, to safeguard the hotel’s financial stability.
8. Financial Strategy: Collaborate with senior management to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the hotel’s business objectives and long-term growth plans.
9. Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and continuous improvement.
10. Stakeholder Communication: Communicate financial performance, key insights, and recommendations to stakeholders, including executive management, department heads, and external partners.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Proven experience in financial management, preferably within the hospitality industry.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and best practices.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
