Controller - Public Energy Company

We are conducting a search on behalf of a $2B public company with extensive operations in Infrastructure, Energy, and Capital Markets. Due to the complex nature of the business, we are seeking an experienced Controller from a similarly structured public company who can excel in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

As the Controller, you will lead a team responsible for overseeing the full General Ledger (GL). Your primary focus will be ensuring accuracy and efficiency in the month-end close process, with a strong emphasis on accurate and timely accounting, reporting, and analysis in compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and SOX standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the GL team to ensure accurate and efficient month-end close processes.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and SOX standards.
• Provide accurate and timely accounting, reporting, and analysis.
• Drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems.
• Support the company's aggressive growth plans and long-term progression opportunities.

Requirements:

• Strong foundation in Public Accounting Audit or FAAS, ideally from a Big 4 firm.
• CPA certification is required.
• Experience in a supervisory role at a public company.
• Proven ability to establish a strong control environment within a team and function.
• Preferred experience in Infrastructure, Energy, or Capital Markets.
