What are the responsibilities and job description for the Email Marketing Manager position at Kinect?
The Email Marketing Manager plays a key role in driving customer engagement and retention, a vital aspect of our eCommerce business. This position leads the planning, execution, testing, and optimization of all CRM communications—including email, SMS, and push notifications—as well as messaging for our Loyalty program.
You'll oversee a team responsible for designing, building, and launching campaigns while collaborating cross-functionally with internal partners across Web Merchandising, Planning, Brand Marketing, and Impact teams. You’ll also be responsible for implementing strategic segmentation and A/B testing across channels to continually improve performance.
Hybrid role based in Los Angeles, CA (2 days onsite per week).
Responsibilities:
- Lead CRM (email, SMS, push) and Loyalty campaign strategy, calendar planning, and storytelling.
- Run regular planning meetings and coordinate closely with internal teams to align messaging across all touchpoints.
- Manage campaign performance reporting and analyze results using ESP and web analytics tools.
- Own testing strategies—audience segmentation, creative testing, subject lines, send times, and message automation.
- Guide the team in scheduling, coding, designing, QA/testing, and launching CRM communications.
- Collaborate with creative teams to ensure campaign assets drive engagement and conversions.
- Stay informed on CRM and Loyalty marketing best practices and apply insights to improve internal strategies.
Qualifications:
- 5 years experience with CRM (email, SMS, push) and Loyalty marketing platforms.
- Proficient HTML coding skills, including mobile-optimized design.
- Proficient in visual design tools (Photoshop, Figma) for email and SMS.
- Experience with ESPs (Listrak preferred).
- Skilled at managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with web analytics (Google Analytics preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
